CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: <br />TERRANCE <br />DIRECTOR CES <br />PREPARED <br />HARRY E. <br />VD0F <br />AND STAFFED <br />ASSISTANTUTILITY SERVICES <br />BY: <br />SUBJECT: ALLOW PEDESTRIAN ACCESS THROUGH THE VISTA ROYALE <br />WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT SITE TO THE INDIAN RIVER <br />The County has been requested to provide general pedestrian public <br />access to the Indian River through the Vista Royale Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant site. <br />To provide this access, it will be necessary to relocate a fence <br />gate and construct approximately 175' of fence to restrict access <br />to the treatment plant areas. <br />The fence can be constructed by using surplus fence from other <br />sites. The only cost for the construction would be for <br />installation and some fence posts. The quoted cost is $725.00. <br />The entire plant and site is scheduled to be taken out of <br />commission and surplused in approximately two years. <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that <br />the Board of County Commissioners approve the pedestrian access to <br />the Indian River and the approval to construct the fence. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />the $725 expenditure as proposed by Wood 'N Nichols <br />for pedestrian access to the Indian River, pursuant <br />to staff's recommendation. <br />PROPOSAL WILL BE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD WHEN RECEIVED <br />ARTIFICIAL WETLAND - WEST REGIONAL WASTEWATER <br />TREATMENT PLANT - CHANGE ORDER NO. 4 AND FINAL <br />PAYMENT REQUEST - COASTAL CONSTRUCTION OF BREVARD, <br />INC. <br />The Board reviewed Memoranda of June 25, 1996 and July 1, <br />1996: <br />800K 9 8 F�,��4�4 <br />JULY 29 1996 31 <br />
