Finney, SRA ��-�• <br />County Right -of -Way Agent <br />SUBJECT: 4th Street Right -of -Way Acquisition; Parcels #109 and <br />#110 <br />DATE: June 27, 1996 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Additional right-of-way is required on 4th Street for the paving <br />and widening improvements. <br />The property owner has executed a contract at the appraised value <br />of $3.75 per squre foot. The contract price is $22,570.00 for the <br />C -H zoned land. <br />The appraised value of neighboring properties range from $2.95 to <br />$3.75 per square foot. The county has purchased several other <br />properties on this project at $2.95 and at $3.75 per square foot. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff review appears that the contract is equitable and requests <br />the Board of County Commissioners approve the $22,570.00 purchase <br />and authorize the Chairman to execute the contract. <br />r-UNDING <br />4th Street, Parcels #109 and #110 - Funding to be from District 6 <br />Traffic Impact Fee Account No. 101-156-541-067.29. <br />Director Davis reported the County will probably need four or <br />five more parcels in order to accomplish the 5-laning of 4th Street <br />from just west of Old Dixie Highway to US -1. He specified that <br />staff negotiated the purchase of these two parcels in an arms - <br />length manner. He estimated the right-of-way on the north side of <br />the street would be widened about 15 feet, and mentioned the County <br />also will be acquiring right-of-way on the south side of the street <br />in the future. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved <br />the $22,570 purchase of Parcels #109 and #110 from <br />Julian H. and Betty J.
