40 <br />PR PAR ATIQN OF PRPQ$AL: The Bidder must fill all required blank spaces on the Bid <br />Schedule. All writing must be typed or in ink and submitted in duplicate. Only one Bid from <br />any individual, firm, partnership or corporation, under the same or different names, will be <br />considered. Each proposal must have the full business address of the Bidder and must be <br />signed by him with his usual signature or by an authorized representative. <br />Any Bid submitted with escalator clauses shall be rejected; Bid Price shall remain firm for a <br />period of sixty (60) days after date of submittal. <br />f <br />5.T I RAWAL 4F PROPOSAL_ A Bidder may withdraw his proposal without prejudice <br />to himself not later than the day and hour set in the Advertisement for Bids, by physically <br />delivering his withdrawal in writing to the County Adnunistrator and after received, his <br />proposal will be returned to him unopened. <br />6. SWARD OR REJECTION QF BIS The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible <br />Bidder, provided his bid is reasonable and is in the interest of the Owner to accept it. The <br />bidder to whom the award is made will be notified at the earliest possible date. The Owner, <br />t however, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informality on Bids <br />received, whenever such rejection or waiver is in the interest of the Owner. Further, the <br />Owner reserves the right to award the Base Bid or any alternate bid as a single contract It <br />is anticipated that all items of the Base Bid or any Alternate Bid will be included in the <br />Contract, however, the Owner further reserves the right to include only the number of items <br />in the Contract for which funds may be available. The Contract Documents will be sent to the <br />Successful Bidder for his execution. The Bidder shall execute the Agreement and submit all <br />bonds and insurance certificates as set out in the Contract. <br />i <br />Should the Bidder to whom the Contract has been awarded refuse or fail to complete the <br />requirements above within twenty (20) calendar days after Notice of .Award, the additional <br />time in calendar days required to CORRF-.CTI.Y complete the documents will be deducted, <br />in equal amount, from the Contract Time, or the County may elect to revoke the Award. The <br />Bid Bond of any Bidder failing to execute the awarded Contract shall be held by the County <br />for consequential damages incurred, and the Contract awarded as the Commission desires. <br />7. EXAMINATION OF SITE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS & REGULATORY PERMITS_ <br />The Bidder is required, before submitting his proposal, to visit the site of the proposed work <br />and familiarize himself with the nature and the extent of the work and any surface and <br />subsurface conditions that may in any manner affect the work to be done, and the equipment, <br />materials, and labor required, and the cost thereof. Bidder is also required to examine <br />carefully the Plans, Specifications, Contract Documents, including the Regulatory Permits and <br />to inform himself thoroughly regarding any and all conditions and requirements that may in any <br />manner affect the work to be performed under the Contract. Ignorance on the part of the <br />Contractor will in no way relieve him of the obligations and responsibilities assumed under the <br />Contract. No information derived from maps, drawings, specifications, or from the Engineer, <br />or his assistants, shall relieve the Contractor from any risk or from fulfilling all terms of the <br />Contract. <br />GC -2
