40 <br />s <br />SECTION 02206 <br />SITE CLEANUP & RESTORATION <br />1. SCOPE <br />A. The Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, appliances and <br />materials required or necessary to clean up the site after the construction is <br />completed and to restore items disturbed or damaged due to his construction <br />operation. <br />i <br />i, 2. GENERAL <br />A. During the progress of the project, the work and the adjacent areas affected <br />thereby shall be kept in a neat and orderly condition. All rubbish, surplus <br />materials, and unused construction equipment shall be removed. All damage <br />shall be repaired so that the public and private property owners will be <br />inconvenienced as little as possible. <br />B. Where material nr rlehric hae hpAn r1 n c;ted n . oter D:;r°,e d..che" gutters, <br />drains, or catch -basins as a result of the Contractor's <br />J <br />operations, such <br />material or debris shall be entirely removed and satisfactorily disposed of <br />during the progress of the work, and the ditches, channels, drains, etc., shall <br />be kept clean. <br />C. Before the completion of the project, the Contractor shall, unless otherwise <br />especially directed or permitted in writing, tear down and remove all <br />temporary buildings and structures which he builds; remove all temporary <br />works, tools, and machinery or other construction equipment furnished by <br />him; remove, acceptably disinfect, and cover all organic matter and material <br />containing organic matter in, under, and around privies, houses, and other <br />buildings used by him; remove all rubbish from any grounds which he has <br />occupied; and leave the roads, all parts of the premises and adjacent property <br />affected by his operations, in a neat and satisfactory condition. <br />D. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to repair, rebuild, or restore to <br />its former conditions, any and all portions of existing utilities, structures, <br />equipment, appurtenances, trees and shrubs. or facilities, other than those to <br />be paid for under the specifications, which may be disturbed or damaged due <br />to his construction operations. <br />E. The Contractor shall thoroughly clean all materials and equipment installed <br />by him and his subcontractors and on completion of the work shall deliver the <br />facilities undamaged and in fresh and new -appearing- condition. <br />U22U6-1
