Gentile, CET <br />Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Resolutions to Provide for the Paving and Drainage Improvements to and set <br />Public Hearing date for. <br />26th Street (Walker Avenue) West of 66th Avenue to Village Green, Phase II <br />DATE: June 26, 1996 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The County Public Works Department has initiated a public improvement assessment for <br />road paving and drainage improvements to 26th Street (Walker Avenue) west of 66th <br />Avenue to Village Green, Phase II. All of the right-of-way has been obtained except for the <br />Bates Grove Property, which is currently being acquired by condemnation proceedings. <br />A separate resolution will need to be adopted to hold a Public Hearing to discuss the <br />advisability, cost and amount of the assessment against each property owner. <br />This Public Hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 13, 1996, at 9:05 A.M. in the <br />County Commission Chambers. <br />An assessment roll and plat has been prepared and filed with the Clerk to the Board of <br />County Commissioners. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that the Board: <br />1) Adopt the resolution providing for the paving and drainage improvements for the <br />project subject to the terms outlined in the resolution. The applicable interest rate <br />shall be established by the Board of County Commissioners at , the time the final <br />assessment roll is approved. <br />2) Allocate $188,806.88 from Account No(s). 111-214-541-035.39, 111-214-541-035.51 <br />and 315-214-541-066.31. <br />3) Adopt a resolution setting the time and place of the Public Hearing. <br />BOOK 8 F�rrE �����! <br />�L <br />JULY 23, 1996 93 <br />
