Acceptable materials shall be one of the following: <br />1. Burke Company: Aqua Resin Cure <br />2. Sika Corp.: Sikagard Cure/Hard <br />3. Sonneborn: Hydrocide <br />D. Expansion .joint Water Stops: Continuous, pre -formed, <br />finned, center bulb type, polyvinyl chloride, of <br />sufficient width to provide 3" minimum embedment in <br />concrete, each side. Equal to Greenstreak #703. <br />E. Pte -molded ,joint Filler: Bituminous Fiber Type, ASTM D- <br />1751-83 and D545--77 equal to °Celotex Flexcell° of <br />thickness and thickness and width indicated or required. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 PROPORTIONING AND MIXING <br />A. Concrete Mix: All cast -in-place concrete shall be ready <br />mixed and in accordance with ASTM Specs. C-94 (Latest <br />edition). Minimum 5 bags cement per yard of concrete. <br />B. Concrete Strength: Unless specifically noted otherwise, <br />all concrete shall have a minimum compressive strength of <br />f'c = 3000 psi. A design mix shall be prepared by a <br />registered professional engineer employed by the concrete <br />supplier. The Contractor shall submit to the <br />Architect/Engineer the concrete materials and the <br />concrete mix designs proposed for use with a written <br />request for acceptance. This submittal shall include the <br />results of all testing performed to qualify the materials <br />and to establish the mix designs. <br />C. Maximum Slump: unless specifically noted otherwise, all <br />concrete shall be proportioned and produced to have a <br />slump of 5 1/2" or less. <br />D. Job Tempering: All Concrete shall be placed within 1-1/2 <br />hours after introduction of water to the mix. under no <br />condition may additional water be added. Submit time <br />stamped batching tickets on delivery of concrete to job <br />site. All concrete where water has been added will be <br />removed and replaced with proper concrete at no cast to <br />the owner. <br />3.02 PLACING OF CONCRETE <br />A. Review:. No concrete shall be placed until all reinforc- <br />ing steel, piper, sleeves, inserts, etc. have been set in <br />place and reviewed by the Owner's representative. <br />Contractor shall notify the Owner's representative of <br />scheduled pours 24 hours prior to pouring. <br />B. Placing: Concrete shall be placed in properly cleaned <br />and prepared forms in accordance with the requirements of <br />ACI -301. <br />03300-3 <br />
