40 <br />concrete: For doors not more than 7 feet high, <br />by approval of Owner's representative only <br />punch each frame jamb and dimple countersink <br />for not less than three 3/8" diameter flat head <br />screws. For doors over 7 feet high, punch less <br />than four 3/81' diameter flat head screws. <br />Provide pipe sleeves with spacers welded into <br />each jamb at each fastening location. Provide <br />3/8" diameter galvanized steel flat head screws <br />with approved expansion anchors or toggles as <br />required. After installing flat head screws <br />fill head of countersink screw with body filler <br />then sand flush with frame. <br />c. Frames set in metal stud partitions: Provide 16 <br />gauge metal jamb anchor clips welded in each <br />jamb at following locations: One at top, one <br />12" down from top and 241" o.c. for remainder of <br />,jamb frames. <br />C. DOORS <br />1. <br />1. Internal stiffeners spaced at not over 6" o.c. <br />2. Face sheets spot welded to internal stiffeners at <br />not over 5 apart and in a manner that will <br />prevent the welds from showing on the exposed side <br />of face sheets. <br />3. Hardware reinforcement welded in place asrequired <br />for hardware application. (See Section 2, 02) <br />4. Sound deadeniikg: Interior surfaces treated with a <br />sound deadening material to eliminate metallic <br />ring. <br />5. Provide 16 gauge pre-bonderized zinc coated steel <br />perimeter channels. Bevel stile edges 1/8" in 211. <br />6. Spot-weld channels to face sheets 3" o.c. <br />7. Close tops of all exterior outswingincg doors flush <br />with steel channels. Close flush and seal <br />watertight. <br />8. Grind welds off smooth and flush. <br />9. Fold edge construction not acceptable. <br />14. At angles* type thresholds, extend height of door by <br />one inch over height indicated in Door schedule. <br />D. DOORS WITH GLASS PANELS <br />1. Openings formed so that no bead is required on <br />out <br />face of doors. <br />081DO -4 <br />
