Reimbursements to the Owner for costs of tests and <br />inspections shall be by Deductive Change Orders from <br />the Contract Sum. <br />1.04 DEFECTIVE MATERIALS _ The Engineer reserves the <br />right to demand for test or special examination any <br />material or part thereof to insure compliance with <br />the specifications and he may reject any material or <br />part judged defective as a result of such tests and <br />the Contractor shall replace such defective material <br />or part with material or part that does comply with <br />the specifications at no additional expense to the <br />Owner. <br />1.05 REPORTS - `fest and inspection reports shall be <br />written immediately upon conclusion of each <br />procedure; copies shall be provided to the <br />following: <br />Owner <br />Architect <br />Engineer <br />Contractor <br />1.06 TEST CRITERIA - The specific test and inspection <br />procedures and their required results are enumerated <br />herein by reference to recognized standards and <br />shall be the required method for testing and judging <br />the results unless deviations from the standarda are <br />specifically mentioned. <br />1.07 STANDARDS - Applicable Standards listed in these <br />Specifications include, but are not necessarily <br />limited to, standards promulgated by the following <br />agencies and organizations: <br />1. AASHTO = American Association of State Highway <br />and Transportation Officials, 341 National Press <br />Building, Washington, D.C. 20004. <br />2. ACI = American Concrete Institute, Box 1.9150, <br />Redford, Station. Detrnir, M7,rhigan Ara219. <br />3.
