Titkanich, Jr., County Administrator <br />Kristin Daniels, Budget Director <br />Jennifer Hyde, Purchasing Manager <br />PREPARED BY: Shelby Ball, Purchasing Specialist <br />SUBJECT: Designation of Excess Equipment as Surplus and Authorization for <br />Disposal and Donation <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The equipment on the attached list has been determined excess to the needs of Indian River <br />County and requires disposal in accordance with Florida Statutes and Finance Policies. <br />Included in these items are 10 pieces of dental equipment no longer being used by the Florida <br />Department of Health — Indian River County Office. These items are still in working condition <br />and can be used as intended with no issues. The Florida Department of Health — Levy County <br />Office has reached out to request these items for use in their dental clinic. Sections 274.05 and <br />274.06 F.S. authorize the Board to dispose of surplus property without bid to any political <br />subdivision in the state, and indicate the receiving/gaining governmental unit is responsible for <br />any cost to transferring the property. <br />FUNDING: <br />There is no cost to the County associated with these requests. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the Board declare the items on the Excess List for 120523 Agenda as surplus, <br />and authorize their disposal and donation. <br />ATTACHMENT: <br />Excess List for 120523 <br />37 <br />
