40 <br />• <br />Should the results of 28 days test fall below the required strength, the fourth <br />specimen shall be tested at 42 days. The Architect will evaluate the findings <br />to determine whether further testing is required.. <br />If the results of 14 day test meet or exceed 28 day required strength, 28 <br />days test and storage shall be waived. Costs of Testing 42 -day molded <br />specimens shall be reimbursed to the Owner. <br />PART 2 -EXECUTION <br />I . Familiarity With Pertinent Codes and Standards: In procuring all items used in this <br />Work, itis the Contractor s responsibility to verify the detailed requirements of the <br />specifically named codes and standards and to verify that the items procured for use <br />in this Work meet or exceed the specified requirements. <br />2. Rejection of Non -complying Items: The Architect reserves the right to reject items <br />incorporated into the Work which fail to meet the specified minimum requirements. <br />The Architect further reserves the right, and without prejudice to other recourse the <br />Architect may take, to accept non -complying items and subject to an adjustment in <br />the Contract Amount as approved by the Architect and the Owner. <br />i • Applicable Standards listed in these Specifications include, but are not necessarily <br />limited to. standards promulgated by the following agencies and organizations: <br />A.
