Cil <br />11 <br />SECTT N 2W - SEPTIC TANK AND DRAINFIELD <br />I <br />2. <br />GENERAL: <br />A. All installations shall be constructed in a workmanlike manner in <br />full compliance with the shown, described and reasonably intended <br />requirements of these plans. and shall be to the full and complete <br />satisfaction of the owner. <br />B. All of the mechanical and piping components needed to complete <br />the system as shown on the plans shall be new, unused, and in tarst- <br />class condition. <br />C. Shop drawings shall be submitted to the engineer for review and <br />approval of all system components prior to being ordered by <br />contractor. <br />D. Before covering the septic system with earth, the contractor shall <br />notify T.R.C. Department of Health - Environmental Health and the <br />engineer for an inspection, and approval of system installation. <br />E. Upon completion of installation. the contractor shall notify the <br />engineer for a final inspection and final setting of all adjustments. <br />F. Prior to final acceptance, the contractor shall provide new equipment <br />warranties to the owner, and shall provide the Owner with a one ,year <br />written warranty against defects in new material and against defects in <br />contractor's workmanship for the entire water system installation. <br />G. All components shall, at a minimum, meet the requirements of the Florida <br />Administrative Code, Section 64E-6. latest edition. <br />STRUCTURES: <br />A. A single compartmented tank of 1500 gallons and 900 gallons shall be <br />upstream of the absorption trenches to meet the requirements of F.A.C. <br />64E-6013 (3)(a). <br />B. Tanks shall be of precast concrete construction, consisting of a <br />monolithic bottom and sidewall. The top shall be a single slab with <br />cutouts for construction of brick manhole risers. The concrete <br />for tanks shall have a minimum compressive strength of 3000 psi <br />after 28 days, and shall utilize type lI cement. Reinforcing steel <br />shall be minimum grade 60. The tanks sltallbe reinforced with <br />minimum #3 rebar at 6 inches cacti way in the top and bottom, and <br />minimum #3 rebar at 12 inches each way in the walls. <br />C. All ,joints in the structures shall be made watertight using a <br />mastic sealer such as "RAM-NEK", or equal. <br />D. Pipe penetrations through the walls shall be made watertight by <br />sealing the void around the pipe with anti -hydro grout. Brick <br />risers shall be made watertight by covering the brick with a layer <br />2w•t <br />
