The person or company conducting the land clearing must be a <br />licensed contractor registered in Indian River county to perform <br />such work. The applicant is advised to contact Linda Jones in the <br />County Building Division at 567-8000, ext. 268 to ensure that the <br />land clearer has required licensing. <br />SPECIFIC CONDITIONS (AS APPLICABLE); <br />REVIEWING DEPARTMENT: PLANNING: ENVIRONMENTAL <br />1. This permit authorizes land clearing and underbrushing <br />within the net buildable portion of the site. This <br />permit does not authorize the removal of any protected <br />trees, which includes all significant groupings of <br />trees of west Indian or tropical origin regardless of <br />size. <br />2. Construction equipment is not permitted to oceanward of <br />the County Dune Stabilization Setback Line (DSSL). <br />3. All nuisance exotic vegetation existing on site shall <br />be removed. ;Nuisance exotic vegetation oceanward of <br />the DSSL shall be removed by hand clearing only. <br />4. This permit authorizes the contractor for the adjacent <br />construction project (Nicholson residence) to place <br />three (3) feet and four (4) inches of clean fill <br />material along the northern property boundary of Round <br />Island Park. The maximum slope of the area of fill <br />shall not exceed 2:1.
