r <br />P <br />INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br />Terms used in these Instructions to Bidders which are defined in the General <br />Conditions have the meanings assigned to them in the General Conditions. The term <br />"Successful Bidder" means the lowest, qualified, responsible Bidder to whom Owner <br />(on the basis of Owner's evaluation as hereinafter provided) makes an award. <br />411111111111COMM-HIM MM <br />2.1. Complete sets of the Bidding Documents in the number and for the deposit <br />sum, if any, stated in the Advertisement or Invitation may be obtained from <br />Engineer (unless another issuing office is designated in the Advertisement or <br />Invitation to Bid). <br />2.2. Complete sets of Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither <br />Owner nor Engineer assume any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations <br />resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. <br />2.3. Owner and Engineer in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the <br />above terms do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids on the Work and do <br />■ not confer a license or grant for any other use. <br />3. gUl�aJO s of Bid e <br />3.1 To demonstrate qualifications to perforin the Work, each Bidder must be <br />prepared to submit within five days of Owner's written request, an audited <br />financial statement, a list of major pieces of construction equipment owned by <br />the Bidder and documentation demonstrating the Bidder's compliance with the <br />qualifications listed below; <br />a. Bidder must have at least five years' experience in the construction of <br />., similar projects of this size and larger. <br />b. Bidder must have successfully constructed, as prime CONTRACTOR, <br />at least throe projects similar in scope to this project. <br />C. Bidder must have good recommendations from at least three clients <br />similar to the OWNER. <br />d, The Bidder's superintendent and assistants must be qualified and <br />experienced in similar projects in all categories. <br />e. Bidder must be able to provide evidence of authority to conduct <br />business in the jurisdiction in which the project is located. <br />I�r 3.2 Each bid must contain evidence of Bidder's qualification to do business in the <br />state where the Project is located or covenant to obtain such qualification prior <br />to award of the contract. <br />3.3 The OWNER reserves the right to reject bids from Bidders that are unable to <br />meet the listed required qualifications. <br />INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br />113-1 <br />
