4P <br />40 <br />In <br />E.1 Local laws, ordinances, rules, codes, and regulations that may affect the work. Ignorance on the part <br />of the CONTRACTOR wily in no way relieve him from the responsi h il i ty of compliance therewith. <br />1 All work and materials shall comply with those laws. <br />I„ (]v�rtime Work <br />t <br />1. Work shall be performed during regular working hours. Regular working hours are defined <br />as Monday through Friday, excluding Comity holidays, from 7 AM to 5 PM. <br />€ <br />2. County Holidays are. New Year's Day, Good. Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, <br />Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Evc and <br />1 Christmas Day. Working on these days will not be permitted without prior written <br />permission and approval from the ENGINEER. <br />3, The CONTRACTOR shall receive no additional compensation for overtime work, i.e., work <br />in excess of eight hours in any one calendar day or 40 hours in any one calendar week, even <br />though such overtime work may be required under emergency conditions and may be <br />ordered by the ENGINEER in writing. <br />i <br />4. All costs of inspection and testing performed during overtime work by the CONTRACTOR, <br />which is allowed solely for the convenience of the CONTRACTOR, shall be home by the <br />CONTRACTOR, and a credit given to the County to deduct the costs of all such inspection <br />and testing from any partial payments otherwise due the CONTRACTOR, <br />5. It is mutually agreed that no change involving change in cost, either to the OWNER or <br />i CONTRACTOR, shall be made except upon written permission of the OWNER. Extra <br />€ work shall be paid for as set forth in this Paragraph. Omitted work shall be credited against <br />the money due the CONTRACTOR by one of the methods described in this Article. The <br />CONTRACTOR shall make no claim for extra work unless it has been approved by the <br />OWNER in writing and in advance of the work, except that the CONTRACTOR may <br />t proceed to meet an emergency condition if the OWNER'S representative is not available. <br />Work required by surface or subsurface conditions, or both, that were foreseen by Eidder <br />l at the time of bidding or could have been discovered by test borings or other testing <br />t methods, shall not be considered extra work. <br />T <br />'rhe ENGINEER shall, in all cases of dispute. determine the amount or quantity of the <br />several kinds of wnrk which are tea he-- paid roT under this contraci. and chill decide III <br />questions relative to the execution of the same, and such estimates and decisions shall he <br />final and binding. <br />3. Any work not herein specified, which may he fairly implied as included in the Contract, of <br />which the ENGINEER shall adjudge, shall be done by the CONTRACTOR wilhtaut extra <br />charge, <br />4. The Contract price may only be changed by a Change Order its authorized by the Board of <br />County Commissioners. 'Mis includes extra work.
