SECTION 2.1 - LANDSCAPING <br />I <br />PART1-GENERAL <br />I 1. DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br />A. Work included: This section is part of the entire set of contract documents and <br />I shall be coordinated with the applicable provisions of the other parts. <br />B. The extent of the landscape development work is shown on the drawings and in <br />l schedules. Completion of the work shall mean bill and exact compliance and <br />conformity with the provisions expressed or implied in the drawings and <br />specifications. <br />P C. The work under this section includes Supplying and planting of trees, shrubs and <br />ground covers in accordance with sound nursery practice and maintaining and <br />watering them until final completion and acceptance, but not less than 30 days <br />t from installation, and any other work as culled for on the plaits and in these <br />specifications.. <br />d 2. RELATED WORK <br />w <br />Site work (rough grading). <br />3„ [QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. QUALIFICATIONS OF INSTALLERS: The Contractor shall have his labor <br />crews controlled and directed by a landscape forC:lninl well versed in plant <br />materials, planting, reading blueprints and coordination between job and nursery, <br />in order it) execute installation rapidly and correctly. <br />I <br />B. TREES AND SHRUBS: Provide trees and shrubs grown in a recognized nursery <br />in accordance with good horticultural practice. (The only exception shall be <br />native plant material collected front field locations.) Provide healthy vigorous <br />stock grown under climatic conditions similar to conditions in the locality of the <br />project and free of disease, insects, eggs, larvae, and defects Such as knots, sun - <br />scald, injuries, abrasion~ or disfigurements. All plant material shall be graded <br />Florida No. I or better as outlined under Grades and Standards for Nursery I'tants, <br />I State Plant Board of Florida. <br />i- 4. PRODUCT HANDLING <br />A. 2E VERY AND STORAGE: The bulls of B & B plants which cannot be <br />i- planted immediately on delivery shall be covered with moist soil or inulch or <br />other protection from drying wind and Sun. All plants shall he watered :,s <br />nece"vey until planted. <br />
