4W <br />r <br />40 <br />C-1 <br />B, MEASUREMENTS: Plants shall be treasured when branches are in their normal <br />position. Height and spread dimensions specified refer to main hotly of plant and <br />not extreme branch tip to tip. The measurements specified arc the minimum size <br />acceptable and are the nteasurenicnis after pruning, where pruning is required. <br />C. B & B PLANTS: No plant shall be accepted when the ball of earth surrounding <br />its routs has been cracked or broken. The diameter of the ball must be sufficient <br />to encompass the fibrous and feeding root system necessary for the maximum <br />development of the plant. Root pruning shall have been done at a minimum of <br />four (4) weeks before planting at the job. Anti-transpirant spray shall be applied <br />immediately following installation. <br />D. MATERIALS: Pot bound plant materials will be unacceptable. <br />E. SOD: The sod shall be of firma, tough texture having a compact growth of grass <br />with good root development. It shall contain no weeds, or any other objectionable <br />vegetation. The soil embedded in the sod shall be good clean earth, free from <br />stones and debris. The soil shall he free from fungus, vermin ;and other diseases. <br />2. MIXES <br />A. Fertilizer shall be Agriform 21 Gram Tablets, slow release, 20-10-5 analysis, or <br />an approved equal. Rates of application shall be as follows: <br />1 -gal. can plants I tablet each <br />3 -gal. can plants 2 tablets each <br />Palm trees (Single stem) 6-8 tablets each <br />Palm trees (multiple stem) l tablet per each 3" of stern diatmetea: <br />cumulative diameter measurement <br />Trees 1 table[ per each 1/2" of trunk diameter: for <br />multiple trunks [Ile diameter measurements <br />will be CLInutlatiVC, <br />B. Starter fertilizer shall be 6-6-6, l001l" organic, with minor elements. This <br />ferliliaer shall have 40%-50+f/, of its total o lb, <<rti iia a wntca Auioluble lorrin. <br />C. Lawn areas shall be treated with fertiliver applied at a nate of twenty (20) pounds <br />per 1000 square feet, <br />D. Soil used for planting (planting mix) shall consist of 7011" Florida native peal, <br />30% wood chips (pine bark passing through 3/4" screen) and sawdust, 3 lb. <br />starter fertilizer per cubic yard.
