Cox, P.E. <br />Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Request for Floodplain Cut and Fill Balance Waiver for Lot 11, Block 9, Vero <br />Lake Estates, Unit 1 <br />REFERENCE: Project No. 96060177 <br />DATE: August 5, 1996 CONSENT AGENDA <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDMONS <br />Ameron Homes, Inc. has submitted a building permit application for a single family <br />residence on the subject property. The site is located in an AE special flood hazard zone, <br />base flood elevation 22.0 & N.G.V.D. In the attached letter from the applicant's engineer <br />dated August 2, 1996, a waiver of the cut and fill balance requirement is requested. The <br />lot area is 1.07 acres. The volume of the 100 year floodplain displaced by the proposed <br />grading plan is estimated to be 316 cubic yards. <br />.ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The waiver request has been reviewed by staff and appears to meet the criteria of Section <br />930.07(2)(d)4. of the Stormwater Management and Flood Protection Ordinance for lots <br />located in thei Vero Lake Estates Municipal Services Taxing Unit. <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Grant the cut and fill balance waiver based on the criteria of Section 930.07(2)(d)4. <br />AUGUST 13, 1996 10 <br />_I <br />
