BUTLER, CLERK <br />Attachment A — SCOPE OF WORK <br />Project Name: Indian River County BOCC Derelict FWC Contract No. 23214 <br />Vessel Removal Project <br />1. DESCRIPTION OF GOODS / SERVICES PROCURED, OR PROJECT WORKPLAN <br />A. DESCRIPTION OF GOOD/SERVICES — Indian River County BOCC will remove and <br />dispose of 4 derelict vessels from the public waters of the state within the jurisdiction of the <br />Indian River County BOCC. <br />B. BACKGROUND - The removal and disposal of these derelict vessels will improve boating <br />safety by removing hazards to navigation. This project will also help to restore sensitive <br />marine resources and improve water quality. <br />C. SUPPORT OF COMMISSION MISSION/RETURN ON INVESTMENT — The <br />Commission's mission is to conserve fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well- <br />being and the benefit of people. This includes preservation of habitat and the environment. <br />The waters of the State, like Florida's fish and wildlife, belong to the people of Florida, and <br />the FWC is entrusted by the people of Florida to take care of these resources. Removing <br />derelict vessels from the waters of the State maintains water quality both for Florida's fish <br />and wildlife resources and a diverse, growing population of people using the waterways.. <br />D. DEFINITIONS - None <br />2. DELIVERABLES <br />A. Deliverable #1— Removal and disposal of 4 derelict vessels from the public waters of the <br />State. <br />i.
