• <br />s <br />CI <br />C] <br />Bidding Negotiation Phase; <br />We will schedule and attend a pre-bid meeting and issue written technical clarifications <br />to the Owner or additional instructions to the Contractor, through the Owner, for assistance in <br />preparing an addendum. <br />• The Owner and the Architect/Engineer will distribute documents to General Contractors as <br />is required to receive competitive bids for construction. <br />• We will review and advise acceptability of substitute materials and/or value engineering <br />suggestions proposed by contractors and assist (lie Owner in evaluating bids for <br />construction. <br />Construction Administration Phase: <br />After the contractor receives his notice to proceed, we will provide construction <br />administration services, including the following; <br />• We will attend a pre -construction meeting to include representatives from the selected <br />contractor, subcontractors and Indian River County. <br />• We will attend a partnering session with fire County and the contractors (includes project <br />manager, construction observer, mechanical and electrical engineers and possible civil <br />engineers), <br />• During the construction phase, we will provide administration of the construction <br />documents. <br />• As part of the basic construction phase, we will provide a limited number (two per mont1l) <br />Of visits to the site to observe various phases of construction. <br />• We will issue necessary interpretations and clarifications related to the contract documents. <br />• Review shop drawings, material samples and other data which the contractor is required to <br />submit for compliance with the construction documents. <br />• Evaluate and determine die acceptability of substitute materials and equipment proposed by <br />the contractor. If acceptance of substitute materials creates additional services for the A/E, <br />he will notify the Owncr immediately of the expected effort. <br />• Review certificates and inspection test reports to determine whether nr not they comply <br />with clic requirements at the contract documents. <br />NUfAN50N XDATATROJECT.O1SWK1DAvhS.bOC <br />
