40 <br />C� <br />40 <br />i6A 7 <br />F SECTION 02050A <br />MAINTENANCE AND PROTECTION OF TRAFFIC f <br />' PART GENERAL <br />1.1 SUMMARY <br />A. General: Tice Contractor shall provide all labor, material, and services, and perform all <br />{ operations required for maintenance and protection of traffic and related items shown on the <br />drawings or specified in this Section. <br />13. Work Included: The work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following <br />maintenance and protection of traffic work: <br />1. Pedestrian and vehicular traffic control. <br />2, All utilities and water facilities will remain intact until new facilities have been installed and <br />completed. <br />C. Work Specified in Other Documents: Maintenance and protection of traffic shall be in <br />accordance with applicable portions of Section 102 of the 1991 Florida DOT Standard <br />Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and F.D.O.T. Roadway and Traffic Design <br />Standards (specifically the 600 series index numbers.) <br />D. Work Specified in Other Sections: Related items of work arc specified in other sections of the <br />specifications. <br />1.2 PAYMENT <br />A. Unless noted otherwise on the Bid Form, no separate payment will be made for Work covered <br />under this Section. All costs in connection therewith or incidental thereto are to be included in <br />the respective Contract Price for the item or stricture to which the Work pertains. <br />1.3 JOB CONDITIONS <br />4 <br />_ A. Maintenance and Protection of Traffic: Prior to implementation of traffic control plan, said plan <br />shall be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance to the Engineer for approval. <br />1. Method of barricading for pedestrian control safety, as well as method for movement of <br />pedestrian traffic. <br />2. Method of handling pedestrian traffic onto and orf work area. <br />3. All signage required or indicated on the drawings for pedestrian and vehicular control. <br />A. Night lighting and barricades. <br />5. Coordination plan for proposed and existing utility work. <br />6. Stationing and layout reference points. <br />7. Approved Constniction Phasing Plan. <br />8.
