r <br />• <br />f <br />fA <br />B. Existing Utilities: <br />+ 1. Protect all existing utilities at grade and below grade from damage during demolition work. <br />2. Where existing utilities are to remain in place, provide adequate means of protection during <br />demolition and duration of work. <br />+ 3. Locate existing underground utilities in advance of demolition work. <br />4, Should uncharted, or incorrectly charted, piping or other utilities be encountered during <br />excavation, inform the Engineer immediately. Cooperate with the Owner and public and <br />private utility companies in keeping their respective services and facilities in operation. <br />5. Damaged Utilities: Report damaged utility immediately to respective utility companies' <br />representative. Repair of damaged utility will be by the respective utility company and the <br />Contractor shall hear the full cost accrued by the utility company's work and materials. <br />G. Do not interrupt existing utilities serving facilities occupied and/or used by the Owner or <br />others, except where permitted in writing by the Engineer or Owner, and the only after <br />acceptable temporary utility services have been provided. <br />7. Demolish and completely remove from the site underground utilities indicated to be <br />removed. Coordinate with local utility companies for shut-off services if lines are active. <br />C. Use of explosives is not permitted. <br />g D. Temporary Protection: Protect structures, utilities, sidewalks, pavements, and other facilities <br />t from damages caused by settlement, lateral movement, undermining, washout, and other hazards <br />created by the Contractor's operations. <br />1 <br />i E. Damages: Promptly repair damages caused to adjacent facilities by the directional drilling <br />operation at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />F. Traffic: Conduct operations and the removal of debris to ensure minimum interference with <br />traffic, adjacent streets, walks, and other adjacent occupied or used facilities, leo not close or <br />obstruct adjacent streets, walks, ar other occupied or used facilities without permission from <br />authorities having jurisdiction. Provide alternate routes around closed or obstructed traffic <br />ways.. <br />G. Protection: Ensure the safe passage of persons around the area of the Work.
