C-1 <br />4P <br />40 <br />EMERGENCY BROADCAST AGREEMENT <br />TI HS AGREENIE.NT made this 1 St day of August , 2000, between Central <br />Education Broadcasting Inc., \XFSCF 91.9, whose address i;; 0767 20"' Street, Vero Ikc-ach, <br />Florida 32966, referred to as Station and INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a political subdivision <br />of the :Mate of Florida, whose :address is 1840 25`x' Street, Vero BCaach, Florida, :12960, referred <br />to as County. <br />WHEREAS, the County has the responsibilities under the State Emergency <br />Management Act; and <br />MWEW WHEREAS, under said Act the County must alert its citizens as to impending disasters, <br />_ r must provide assistance For its citizens before, during and after disasters; and <br />L FI IF:RF.AS, a major method of providing :assistance is to keep the citizens fully and <br />immediately informed of the current status of the disasters and what protective measures to <br />take; and <br />WI If REIAS, one of the more effective means to :accomplish this is through radio <br />broadcast communications; and <br />WIIf,R1?AS, the Station is the owner and operator of Central Education Broadcasting <br />Inc., WSC F 91 9, a radio broadcast station, serving Indian River County; and <br />W1 ff3REAS, the Statism as a public service is twilling to allow Indian River County to <br />have immediate access to Station for emergency announcements when there is an impeding <br />disaster and during the disaster and post -disaster periods. <br />Station hereby grants to County the privilege and pertnission to use the radio broadcast <br />facilities for the sole purpose of broadcasting; public information concerning disasters, as <br />defined in Section 252.34, F.S., that may affect Indian River County. Such broadcasts may <br />concern pre -disaster, disaster, and post -disaster information. The following conditions shall <br />govern this license: <br />]. 'Ilse Director of I;mergtncy Services, who is the Director of Emergency Management <br />of Indian River County will determine when access is necessary to broadcast emergency <br />public action information. This mould include hurricane watchesand warnings, civil <br />emergencies, events that require immediate evacuation, etc. <br />
