0 <br />0 <br />0 <br />7.3.2 Other Technical Support <br />CHEMTREC - The Chemical Transportation Emergency <br />Center (CHEMTREC) is operated by the Chemical <br />Manufacturers Association. It provides information and/or <br />assistance to emergency responders. CHEMTREC will <br />contact the shipper or producer of the material to obtain <br />detailed information or on -scene assistance. The <br />CHEMTREC telephone number is 1-800-424-9300. <br />OHM -TADS - The Oil and Hazardous Materials Technical <br />Assistance Data Systems (OHM -TADS) is a collection of <br />interactive computer programs which can provide the <br />necessary technical support for the assessment of potential <br />or actual dangers encountered as a result of the release of <br />a hazardous substance. <br />OHM -TADS can be accessed at the ten EPA regional <br />offices, EPA headquarters in Washington, and the Coast <br />Guard Marine Safety Offices. OHM -TADS can provide <br />either information on specifically requested properties of a <br />material, or can print all the information in its files for that <br />material. <br />Manufacturers Technical Bulletins <br />Manufacturers technical bulletins are the hest single source <br />of general information about the chemical in question.
