• <br />40 <br />40 <br />When assessment and monitoring personnel reach their <br />assigned location, accident assessment will be based on <br />field monitoring results, the current meteorological <br />conditions, facility condition, facility prognosis and any <br />other relevant information. <br />Data collected in the field will be transmitted to the BOC to <br />be evaluated by the Dit actor of the Indian River County <br />HealthlRehabilitative Services. <br />These evaluations will be provided to the Chairman of the <br />BCC at the BOC for use in decision-making, and as a basis <br />for recommendations for protective actions. Summaries <br />and recommended protective actions will be forwarded to <br />the State EOC and surrounding counties. <br />Monitoring of the affected area(s) and recommendations of <br />protective actions will continue until exposure levels have <br />decreased to the point that recovery and re-entry are <br />considered safe. <br />$,3.4 Additional Assessment and Monitoring Support <br />When it is determined that a hazardous materials emergency <br />cannot be adequately controlled with resources available to <br />Indian River County response personnel, a request will be <br />forwarded to the Governor for the additional resources <br />needed. The request will contain the following information: <br />- Clear direction to assembly point or point of delivery. <br />- Description of the problem. <br />- Estimated time the resources will be needed. <br />- if resources include people, what arrangements have <br />been made for housing, etc. <br />- Type of resources needed. <br />- Where the resources need to be delivered. <br />Indian River County Emergency Plan for Hazardous Materials Page 109 <br />
