40 <br />40 <br />40 <br />10.4.4 Medical Facilities <br />If required, medical facilities will be evacuated to facilities <br />outside the vulnerable zone using hospital transportation <br />supplemented by county -provided vans and school buses. <br />No other medical faciMY nearer than Orlando or Miami could <br />accommodate the additional patients in the case of a <br />full-scale evacuation. <br />10.4.5 Incarceration Facilities <br />Prisoners and inmates of incarceration facilities will be <br />evacuated to temporary housing. County transportation wilt <br />be provided. <br />10.5 RECEPTION AND CARE <br />Reception Centers will be established for the purpose of expeditiously <br />clearing evacuee traffic from the evacuation routes, initial screening of <br />evacuees for contamination, and providing food service and health and <br />medical care to evacuees. <br />After a previously agreed upon length of temporary shelter stay, <br />evacuees will be mobilized and moved to other shelter locations or to <br />temporary housing. When the emergency subsides, evacuees will be <br />allowed to reenter the affected area in accordance with established <br />procedures. <br />Following the initial screening and any required decontamination, a <br />preliminary registration consisting of name, address and telephone <br />number will be conducted. Evacuees will then be assigned to shelters <br />and provided with maps and routing instructions. <br />A second, more detailed registration of evacuees will be accomplished at <br />shelters. Personal data on evacuees will be collected by American fled <br />Cross representatives on registration forms in accordance with <br />established procedures. Registration data will be tabulated and submitted <br />to the County Emergency Operations Center. <br />Shelters are identified as primary and secondary and capacity is based on <br />40 square feet per occupant. School shelter capacity is further identified <br />in terms of non -classroom and total.
