40 <br />40 <br />40 <br />result of Contractor's operations. Minimum widths of replacement shall be as <br />described in specifications or as shown on the plans. No separate payment will be <br />made for sawcutting, excavation, fonnrvork, reinforcing, or other work or materials <br />required it connection with concrete construction. <br />I. Concrete Encasement: Measurement of concrete for cucasement shall be on the basis <br />of the number of cubic yards of concrete installed, except that the maximum <br />allowable quantity of concrete installed shall not exceed the values given below: <br />Pine Sias finches/ Max. Minimum width of <br />replacement shall be as described in the specifications or as shown on the plans. Unit <br />puce shall include sawcutting, base and subgradc materials, compaction, etc. <br />K. Grassing: Measurement of grassing (seed or sod) shall be computed using the linear <br />feet, as measured along cite water main pipe, or grassed area disturbed and restored as <br />a result of Contractor's operations. The entire width of the disturbed area shall be <br />grassed. Payment shall include all necessary grading, soil preparation, seeding, <br />sodding, fertilizer, mulch, and irrigation. 'Cabs pay item does not include grassing <br />over disturbed areas associated with installation of water service. Grassing over <br />water service will be a part of the pay item for installing water service (see section F <br />above). <br />1.04. PAYMENT <br />Payment will be made at the respective contract unit and/or lump suns price for each item <br />shown in the Agreement, installed and accepted, which price and payment shall constitute <br />full compensation for furnishing all materials and performing all work in connection <br />therewith and incidental thereto. No separate payment will be made for the preparation <br />of record drawings. <br />1.05. RESTORATION OF DAMAGED SURFACES, STR.UCfURES AND PROPERTY <br />Where pavement, trees, shrubbery, fences, or other property or surface structures not <br />designated as pay items have been damaged, removed, or disturbed by the Contractor, <br />whether deliberately or through failure to carry out the requirements of the Contract <br />Documents, state lass, municipal ordinances, or the specific direction of the Engineer, or <br />through failure to employ usual and reasonable safeguards, such property and surface <br />structures shall be replaced or repaired at the expense of the Contractor to a condition <br />equal to that before work began within a time frame approved by the Engineer. <br />END OF SEC -1710N <br />01025-3 <br />
