C-1 <br />• <br />ti <br />11.5 Officers or agents of Teamsters Local Union # 769, except County employees on duty, <br />shall be allowed reasonable access to work sites and locations of the County with the <br />advance approval of appropriate County officials, provided that such access shall in no <br />way interfere with the efficient operation of any department or crew. <br />11.6 The union agrees that, during the term of this agreement, its non-employee <br />representatives and stewards shall deal only with the County Administrator, the County <br />Attorney, or the Personnel Director, or their designees, in matters subject to discussion <br />in this agreement. This does not prohibit a steward from addressing the concerns of <br />individual employees with a supervisor or department head. <br />11.7 No union member, agent or representative of the union, or any person acting on behalf <br />of the union may solicit County employees during the working hours of any employee <br />who is involved in the solicitation, nor distribute literature during working hours in <br />areas where the actual work of County employees is performed. <br />PAYROLL DED UCION OF UNION DUES <br />12.1 Upon receipt of a signed authorization in an acceptable form from an employee, the <br />initiation fee and regular monthly dues of the union shall be deducted from such <br />employee's pay. Such deduction shall be effective on the next regular dues deduction <br />period following the date it is received in the Personnel Department. The County will <br />not deduct dues in arrears except to correct errors made by the County. <br />12.2 Union dues deductions shall be made on the second payday of each -month and shall <br />be remitted by the County no later than the fifteenth of the following month to the <br />officer and address designated by the secretary -treasurer of the union. The union will <br />refund to the County any amount paid to the union in error on account of the dues <br />deduction provision. The union shall give the County a minimum of thirty days written <br />notice of the effective date and amount of any change in the amount of the dues to be <br />deducted. <br />12.3 No deduction shall be made from the pay of any employee during any payroll period <br />in which the employee's net earnings for the payroll period are less than the amount <br />of dues to be paid. <br />12.4 An authorization for dues deduction may be canceled after thirty days from the date <br />written employee notice of the cancellation is received by the 'Personnel Department <br />of the County.
