Prociamatrott <br />HONORING DAVID MAY ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />Whereas, David May is retiring from the Indian River County Sheriffs Office effective June <br />7, 2024; and <br />Whereas, David May began his law enforcement career in 1997 and has served with <br />distinction for over twenty-six years, working diligently under four sheriffs to protect and serve the <br />citizens of Indian River County and the State of Florida; and <br />Whereas, David May, during his twenty-six-yearlaw enforcement career, has served in may <br />capacities including Corrections Deputy, Law Enforcement Deputy and School Resource Deputy; <br />and <br />Whereas, over his tenure, David received many acknowledgements and commendations <br />for his efforts, including Going the Extra Mile, Corrections Deputy of the Year, Honorable Service <br />and Exceptional Duty, and <br />Whereas, David's remarkable dedication to his profession has earned him the appreciation <br />of Sheriff Flowers and all those who have had the honor of working with him. <br />Now, Therefore, be it Proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County, Florida, that the Board acknowledges the contributions that David <br />May has made to the citizens of Indian River County during his successful law enforcement career <br />and wish him a happy and prosperous retirement. <br />Adopted this 4th day of June 2024.
