Proclamation <br />HONORING ROGER HARRINGTON ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />Whereas, Lieutenant Roger Harrington retired from the Indian River County Sheriffs Office, <br />effective May 3, 2024; and <br />-Whereas, Roger Harrington began his journey in law enforcement in 1996 and has served <br />with distinction for over twenty-eight years, working diligently under four sheriffs to protect and serve <br />the citizens of Indian River County and the State of Florida; and <br />-Whereas, Roger Harrington during his twenty -eight-year law enforcement career has <br />served in many capacities including Transportation Deputy and also served on the CERT Team. His <br />many years of experience, demonstrated ability for leadership, and irreproachable professionalism <br />duly resulted in his promotion to the ranks of sergeant and lieutenant, and <br />Whereas, over his tenure, Roger received many acknowledgements and commendations <br />for his efforts, including Corrections Deputy of the Year, Lifesaving, Honorable Service and Going <br />the Extra Mile; and <br />Whereas, Roger's remarkable dedication to his profession has earned him the appreciation <br />of Sheriff Flowers and all those who have had the pleasure of working with him. <br />Now, Therefore, be it Proclaimed dy the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County, FCorida, that the Board acknowledges the contributions that <br />Lieutenant Roger Harrington has made to the citizens of Indian River County during his successful <br />law enforcement career and wish him a happy and prosperous retirement. <br />Adopted this 4th day of June 2024.
