PART l • GENERAL <br />SECTION 01000 <br />SUMMARY OF ~lORK <br />1.01 LOCATION OF WORK <br />(UGC0l000.FMT) :aa <br />The work is generally located in the Dixie Heights and <br />Dixie Gardens road rights-of-ways, as shown on the <br />construction plans. <br />l. 02 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br />Construction of approximately 10,200 L. F. of 12" PVC, <br />600 LF of 12" Polyethylene pressure pipe, 20 ,460 L. F . <br />of 6" PVC, and 11,680 L.F. of 4" PVC water main in the <br />Dixie Heights, Piney Oaks and Dixie Gardens <br />Subdivisions. The proposed system is to connect to <br />existing water mains along Old Dixie Highway, 17 <br />th <br />Street S . W. , 11th Lane s . W. , and 6th Avenue S. W. Restore <br />the right-of -ways as close as possible to the pre - <br />construction condition or better. Construction <br />consists of , but is not limited to, utilities <br />exploration, coordination with any permitting agencies, <br />trenching, dewatering, installation of pipe with <br />fittings and all appurtenances, restrainers and soil <br />compaction , disinfection, testing (includes providing <br />temporary jumper or another approved method for <br />disinfection and flushing) irrigation repair and <br />traffic control. The PVC pipe shall be C-900 and the <br />DIP pipe shall be pressure class 350 per Indian River <br />County Utility Standards and specifications (with metal <br />thickness equal or exceeding the Class 50 for under <br />road) .
