6706-050 <br />4.2.1.1 .1 ENGINEER bas relied upon tbe data obtained from <br />subsurface investigations made at tbe site in tbe form of <br />test borings. such data is in the form of boring logs is <br />available, refer to Section 00200, Information to Didders, <br />for instructions on bow to obtain this data. Tbe locations <br />of the test borings are indicated on the Drawings. Such <br />logs and samples are not part of the Contract Documents. <br />sc-4 .4 Contractor is responsible for measuring and <br />recording existing swale elevations at 100' intervals prior <br />to construction . Existing swale elevations shall be <br />maintained throughout construction. Contractor is also <br />responsible for preservation and/or replacement of any and <br />all existing permanent survey monumentation affected by <br />construction . <br />Add a new paragraph imatediately after 4 .4 of the General <br />Conditions which is to read as follows: <br />4,4.l ENGINEER may check the lines, elevations, reference <br />marks, batter boards, etc., set by CONTRACTORS, and <br />CONTRACTOR shall correct any errors disclosed by such a <br />check. such a check shall not be considered as approval of <br />CONTRACTOR'S work and shall not relieve CONTRACTOR of the <br />responsibility for accurate construction of the entire work. <br />CONTRACTOR shall furnish personnel to assist ENGINEER in <br />checking lines and grades. <br />ARTICLES . BONDS AND INSURANCE <br />sc-s.l Delete the sentence of paragraph 5.1 of tho General <br />Conditions in its entirety and insert in its place: "The <br />CONTRACTOR shall furnish a payment bond for 100 percent of <br />the total amount of the Bid and a performance bond for 125 <br />percent of tbo Bid as security for the faithful performance <br />of all of the CONTRACTOR'S obligations under the contract <br />documents." <br />sc-S.4 Tho limits of liability for the insurance required <br />by paragraph S.4 of the General Conditions shall provide <br />coverage for not less than the following amounts of greater <br />where require by law: <br />5.4.1 and 5.4.2 Workers' Compensatior. <br />(1) <br />(2) <br />Workers' Compensation <br />Employer's Liability <br />00800-5 <br />Statutory <br />$1,000,000
