Chief of Environmental Planning, Roland DeBlois, advised that <br />LAAC has recommended that the Board proceed with this acquisition. <br />Acquisition and property management costs will inure 60% to the <br />County and 40% to the State, with initial management costs <br />estimated at $150,000. Two appraisals were obtained and the <br />negotiated purchase price is approximately 89% of the appraised <br />value. <br />Commissioner Bird felt that the price was very reasonable. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter. <br />Sebastian City Planner Bob Massarelli advised that the City of <br />Sebastian supports this recommendation. <br />Mike Jennings, representing the U. S. Fish & Wildlife Game <br />Commission, expressed the Commission's support of the project. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone else wished to be heard in this <br />matter.
