E___1 <br />41111110 <br />40 <br />4M <br />Sten 2: The grievant shall present the written grievance within five calendar days <br />(excluding weekends or County -recognized holidays) from the date of the decision at <br />Step 1 to the 'Emergency Services Director. The Emergency Services Director shall <br />meet with the grievant within five calendar days (excluding weekends ar County - <br />recognized holidays) of receipt of the written grievance. A union steward or a union <br />representative may accompany the grievant at the meeting if the union is not the <br />grievant. The Emergency Services Director shall reach a decision and communicate <br />it in writing to the grievant with a copy to the union if it is not the grievant within ten <br />calendar days (excluding weekends or County -recognized holidays) from the date of <br />the grievance meeting. If the grievance is not satisfactorily resolved, the grievant may <br />forward the grievance to Step 3. <br />Step 3: The grievant shall present the written grievance within five calendar days <br />(excluding weekends or County -recognized holidays) from the date of the decision at <br />Step 2 to the County Administrator. The County Administrator shall meet with the <br />grievant within fifteen calendar days (excluding weekends or County -recognized <br />holidays) of receipt of the written grievance. A union steward or a union <br />representative may accompany the grievant at the meeting if the union is not the <br />grievant. The County Administrator shall reach a decision and communicate it in <br />writing to the grievant with a copy to the union if it is not the grievant within ten <br />calendar days (excluding weekends or County -recognized holidays) from the date the <br />grievance was presented to him. If the grievance is not satisfactorily resolved, the <br />grievant may forward the grievance to arbitration. <br />
