ON MOTION by Commissioner Tippin, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Bird absent) directed staff to <br />coordinate with Ms. Fothergill, the Sheriff's <br />Office, and other interested parties and present <br />possible changes to Chapter 300 for the Board's <br />consideration. <br />Chairman Adams suggested that staff also look at the <br />difference between "bars" and "restaurants". <br />HEALTH INSURANCE CONTRACT - BCBS OF FLORIDA <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 9/25/96: <br />TO: James E. Chandler <br />CoAdministrator <br />FROM: Roz.Baker <br />Director of Personnel <br />SUBJECT: MATTE INSURANCE CONTRACTS <br />DATE: September 25, 1996 <br />On July 16, 1996, the Board of County Commissioners awarded the <br />group health insurance to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida as our <br />Third Party Administrator and John Alden Life Insurance through <br />O'Neil, Lee & West, Inc., as "the re -insurance carrier for the <br />Excess Loss Insurance. <br />Attached is the contract for the Excess Loss Insurance which I have <br />reviewed and concur it is in compliance with the Request for <br />Proposal. Also, I am awaiting the arrival of the contract from <br />Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida for the Board meeting scheduled <br />October 1, 1996. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The Board of County Commissioners execute the contracts for the <br />Excess Loss Insurance with O'Neil, Lee & West and the <br />Administrative Services Agreement with Blue Cross'Blue Shield of <br />Aida . <br />OCTOBER 1, 1996 65 aooK 99..PaGE308,: <br />
