BOOR 99 PAGE 391 <br />The original contract was in the .amount of $53,700.00. The <br />attached Change Order reflects an increase of $5,000.00 equating to <br />a revised contract amount of $58,700.00. The $5000.00 amount is <br />for the purchase of a generator from the Contractor. <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve both the final pay request <br />and change order as presented. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />the change order and final pay request of KDG, Inc., <br />as recommended by staff. <br />CHANGE ORDER IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />TANK TRAPS <br />Chairman Adams reported that the contract has been awarded for <br />removal of the tank traps at a total cost of $333,850. The work <br />will begin in early November. There is also a possibility that <br />these tank traps can be used as a part of the fishing reef off <br />Sebastian Inlet. <br />No action required or taken, <br />UTILITIES EMPLOYEE HARRY ASHER <br />Commissioner Bird expressed the Board's regret at the receipt <br />of the letter of resignation from Utility employee Harry Asher and <br />commented that he was sure Mr. Asher would be successful as he has <br />been a dedicated, loyal, hardworking County employee. He wished <br />Mr. Asher the best of luck. <br />Commissioner Eggert agreed 100%. <br />Harry Asher stated that he has really enjoyed working with <br />everyone and hopes to come back and visit. <br />Chairman Adams wished Mr. Asher good luck also. <br />SEBASTIAN SCRUB PROPERTIES <br />Commissioner Macht related that he had a call from a lady who <br />owns property in Sebastian Highlands. This lady had the property <br />up for sale, had contract on it and the purchaser backed out due to <br />the onerous restrictions on building on these lots. This lady <br />reported that she had calked and talked to Mr. Jennings at Fish & <br />Wildlife and was told that had the County not turned down the <br />OCTOBER 8, 1996 62 <br />
