This will include highlighting the County’s low crime rate <br />compared to areas like South Florida. <br />No Change <br />Policy 1.9: <br />By March of every year, the Economic Development Division of the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce shall <br />develop a marketing plan that specifies actions that will be taken during the next fiscal year to market the county’s <br />economic development potential. The marketing plan shall provide detailed budget information pertaining to any funds <br />that the Chamber of Commerce is requesting from the Board of County Commissioners for the upcoming fiscal year. <br />Before the marketing plan and request for funds is submitted to the Board, the plan shall be presented to and approved <br />by the Economic Development Council. <br />No Change <br />Policy 1.10: <br />The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce and other economic development groups designated by the Board of <br />County Commissioners shall promote services provided by the Vero Beach Regional Airport, the Sebastian Municipal <br />Airport, and the Melbourne International Airport in their economic development and tourism marketing efforts. <br />No Change <br />Objective 2: <br />Diversified <br />Economic <br />Growth <br />Between 2010 and 2020, Indian River County will increase the number of jobs in the county’s new high wage target <br />industries by 1,000.
