D. Removal of Tank Traps from South Beach by Army Corps of Engineers <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 10/9/96: <br />TO: James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E. <br />- <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Removal of Horned Scullies (Tank Traps) from South Beach - Approval of <br />Right -of -Entry for Construction - Department of the Army - Round Island <br />Park <br />REF. LETTER: Bart J. Wivell, Department of Army, to Chip Boyette dated Oct. 4, 1996 <br />DATE: October 9, 1996 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />In order to remove the homed scullies from the South Beach area, the Department <br />of the Army is requesting permission to use Round Island Park to access the <br />beach and stage equipment. All damage to the site will be repaired prior to the <br />Army's contractor leaving the area. The attached "Right -of -Entry for <br />Construction" form has been submitted as authorization. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the Board approve the Right -of -Entry and authorize the <br />Chairman's signature. No local funding is applicable.
