40 <br />7.3 If any part of CONTRACTOR's Work depends for proper execution or results upon the work <br />of any such other contractor or utility owner (or OWNER), CONTRACTOR shall inspect and <br />f promptly report to ENGINEER in writing any delays, defects or deficiencies in such work <br />t that render it unavailable or unsuitable for such proper execution and results. <br />CONTRACTOR's failure to report will constitute an acceptance of the other work as fit and <br />proper for integration with CONTRACTOR's Work except for latent or nonapparent defects <br />and deficiencies in the other work. <br />Coordination: <br />7.4 If OWNER contracts with others for the performance of other work on the Project at the site, <br />the person or organization who will have authority and responsibility for coordination of the <br />activities among the various prime contractors will be identified in the Supplementary <br />Conditions, and the specific matters to be covered by such authority and responsibility will <br />be itemized, and the extent of such authority and responsibilities will be provided, in the <br />Supplementary Conditions. Unless otherwise provided in the Supplementary Conditions, <br />p neither OWNER nor ENGINEER shall have any authority or responsibility in respect of such <br />I ; coordination. <br />ARTICLE 8 - OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br />8.1 OWNER shall issue all communications to CONTRACTOR through ENGINEER. <br />i, <br />8.2 In case of termination of the employment of ENGINEER, OWNER shall appoint an engineer <br />against whom CONTRACTOR makes no reasonable objection, whose status under the <br />- Contract Documents shall be that of the former ENGINEER. Any dispute in connection with <br />such appointment shall be subject to arbitration. <br />is <br />8.3 OWNER shall furnish the data required of OWNER under the Contract Documents promptly <br />and shall make payments to CONTRACTOR promptly after they are due as provided in <br />paragraphs 14.4 and 14.13. <br />i_ <br />8.4 OWNER's duties in respect of providing lands and easements and providing engineering <br />surveys to establish reference points are set forth in paragraphs 4.1 and 4.10. Paragraph 4.2 <br />IL. refers to OWNER's identifying and making available to CONTRACTOR copies of reports <br />of explorations and tests of subsurface conditions at the site and in existing structures which <br />i have been utilized by ENGINEER in preparing the Drawings and Specifications. <br />8.5 OWNER's responsibilities in respect of purchasing and maintaining liability and property <br />insurance are set forth in paragraphs 5.5 and 5.12. <br />8.6 OWNER is obligated to execute Change Orders as indicated in paragraph 10.4. <br />L.. <br />8.7 OWNER's responsibility in respect of certain inspections, tests and approvals is set forth in <br />GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />GC21 <br />i. <br />
