o7 <br />• <br />L7 <br />Dressing: Final "dressing" shall not take place until all activity is completed at which time <br />the fill shall be graded and dressed so as to eliminate any abrupt humps and depressions in the <br />beach fill surfaces. Grade stakes used in the placement of the fill shall be removed intact, <br />without breaking. <br />' Tolerances: A tolerance of one foot (1.0) below and one foot (1.0) above the prescribed top <br />grade and slopes will be permitted in the final surface. <br />(' 17. Permissible Work DUs and Hours <br />Construction activity shall be limited to those daylight hours between 1/2 hour after sunrise and <br />!. <br />%: hour before sunset. The times of sunrise and sunset shall be those published by the <br />National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration for each day of the work. At the <br />Contractor's election, construction activity may be undertaken seven days per week. Suitable <br />E additional safety precautions, including additional personnel or barricades as required, shall <br />be implemented during weekend operations. <br />L The Contractor shall inspect the work areas at the end of every workday to ensure that all <br />debris left by the Contractor's and subcontractor's workers has been removed from the work <br />i areas and properly disposed. This includes, for example, lunch bags, soda cans, drink cups, <br />etc. <br />18. Final Clean Un <br />E Final clean up shall include the removal of all of the Contractor's equipment and waste either <br />for disposal or ieuse. The Contractor shall restore all site and landscape features damaged or <br />destroyed during construction operations outside the limits of the approved work areas and <br />within the work area as designated on the plans. This work will be accomplished at the <br />Contractor's expense. All material brought to the site for the stabilization of the construction <br />i <br />road shall be removed from the site by the Contractor. Before the project is considered <br />complete, any topography disturbed as a consequence to construction or excavation shall be <br />restored to preconstruction elevations with fill material. This fill material shall be compatible <br />with the existing beach/dune sediments in both grain size and coloration and shall be obtained <br />from a source landward of the coastal construction control line or from a source authorized <br />pursuant to Section 161.041, Florida Statutes. The areas so filled shall be stabilized with <br />native salt -resistant beach/dune vegetation. <br />19. Payment <br />The Contractor may request progress payments on a monthly basis for work completed. <br />Payment for sand fill shall be made on the basis of the tonnage of fill placed within the limits <br />of the project'as measured by the weight tickets for each truckload, as reported by the <br />Contractor. The truckload data reported in the Contractor's reports shall be verified by the <br />Engineer, by means of weight tickets and surveys of the project area. Payment shall not be <br />made for sand placed outside of the tolerances specified in the Contract Documents. Copies <br />of the tickets shall be provided to the Engineer daily, if necessary. <br />20. Mobilization/Demobilization Payment <br />The cost of compliance with this section shall be included in the Contractor's bid for <br />mobilization/demobilization. All costs connected with the mobilization and demobilization <br />of the Contractor's equipment and all costs associated with requirements of the contract not <br />TP 6 <br />
