Ext 223. at IBM 48 hoes In advance of the <br />19ft 1344950 <br />County Attorney Vitunac briefly reviewed his Memorandum of <br />October 29, 1996 and the proposed ordinance, advising that four <br />exceptions were enumerated in same but that a fifth one (not <br />listed) is also being proposed: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Charles P. vi�unac,County Attorney <br />DATE: October 29, 1996 <br />RE: Tower Moratorium Ordinance <br />At the October 15, 1996, meeting of the Board of County Commissioners, the <br />Board directed our office to prepare a moratorium ordinance on the permitting <br />of telecommunication towers in Indian River County to allow time for the <br />County to study tower siting issues and develop additional protective zoning <br />ordinances, if any are necessary. <br />The attached ordinance would prohibit the permitting by the County of addi- <br />tional telecommunication towers for a period of six months or until land <br />development regulations have been adopted, whichever occurs first.
