GE 603 <br />HOBART TOWER SPACE LEASE - SEXTON GROVE SERVICES <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of October 16, 1996: <br />TO: Honorable Board of County Co issioners <br />THROUGH: Doug Wright, Director <br />Department of Emergency Lrvices <br />FROM: John King, Emergency Management Coordinator '--/-, <br />Division of Emergency Management <br />DATE: October 16, 1996 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Sexton Grove Services, Inc., Tower Space <br />Lease at Hobart Tower <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein <br />be given formal consideration by the Board of County Commissioners <br />at the next regularly scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />Sexton Grove Services, Inc., has requested to locate their company <br />radio system at the County Hobart Tower site. The County has tower <br />space available and staff is proposing a lease agreement with an <br />effective date of November 1, 1996. <br />This agreement provides Sexton Grove Services, Inc., with floor <br />space adequate for a transmitter/receiver, accessories, and tower <br />space at 300 feet for their antenna. In accordance with the - <br />antenna height/fee schedule utilized for all leases, the company <br />agrees to an annual rental of $1,920 payable at a monthly rate of <br />$160 due on the first day of each month. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS: <br />The addition of one new tenant should have no significant effect on <br />the operation of the existing systems within the communications <br />building. The funds received from non -County agencies are used to <br />offset recurring and maintenance costs associated with the tower. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of the Tower Space Lease with Sexton <br />Grove Services, Inc., with an effective date of November 1, 1996, <br />contingent upon receipt of the required insurance coverages as <br />provided in the lease. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved <br />the tower space lease with Sexton Grove Services, <br />Inc., with an effective date of November 1, 1996, <br />contingent upon receipt of the required insurance <br />coverage as provided in the lease, as recommended in <br />the Memorandum. <br />TOWER SPACE LEASE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE <br />November 5, 1996 <br />OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />86 <br />
