ARTICLE 18 <br />VACANCIES AND PROMOTIONS <br />18.01 The selection of Battalion Chiefs will continue to be in accord with existing County <br />and Departmental policies. <br />18.02 Employees who are selected for a Battalion Chief position shall serve a <br />probationary period of twelve months. <br />18.03 Anyone promoted from Captain to Battalion Chief shall receive a 10 percent <br />increase to base salary and twenty percent if promoted from Lieutenant to Battalion Chief but in <br />no event will a Battalion Chief's base pay be below the pay range established in Article 28 herein. <br />: <br />
