ARTICLE 27 <br />INCENTIVE PAY <br />27.01 A. A bargaining unit employee who has completed a total of eighty (80) hours in <br />courses approved by the Fire Chief or his designee with the recommendation of the Training <br />Bureau will receive a pay increase of ten dollars ($10.00) bi-weekly. The courses for which the <br />employee seeks educational incentive pay must be approved by the Fire Chief or his designee with <br />the recommendation of the Training Bureau prior to enrollment. There will be a maximum of four <br />(4) eighty -hour blocks per employee. <br />B. The hours involved in the Fire Fighters State Minimum Standards Basic Recruit <br />Training are excluded from this Agreement. <br />27.02 A bargaining unit employee who is qualified to be on The Honor Guard will receive <br />($25.00) biweekly with a max of 10 spots. <br />27.03 As an essential requirement to be qualified for the position of Battalion Chief, all <br />bargaining unit employees are required at all times to be both certified paramedics and protocoled <br />by the Medical Director and shall receive a $6,000 annual paramedic incentive. The paramedic <br />incentives shall be paid biweekly. <br />38 <br />
