BOOK 99' <br />PAA 911 <br />ANALYSIS <br />The original estimated project cost was $660,000.00, with the <br />incorporation of all required DOT standards. The revised cost <br />estimate is $820,000.00. (See associated cost estimates.) The <br />additional cost negotiated for structural engineering services cost <br />is $1,500.00. (Please see the attached proposal from KSM). With <br />the water plant construction ready to commence, it is imperative <br />that we make the required modifications to the design and proceed <br />with bidding and construction in early 1997. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of -County Commissioners approve the revised cost estimate of <br />$820,000.00 for bid and authorize the issuance of.a purchase order <br />to KSM for structural services jun the amount of $1,500.00. <br />Capital Projects Engineer Bill McCain advised that the cost <br />increase has been caused by the cost of the design to hang the <br />water and sewer lines under the bridge. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved <br />the revised cost estimate of $820,000 for bid and <br />authorized the issuance of a purchase order to KSM <br />Engineering and Testing for structural services in <br />the amount of $1,500.00, as recommended by staff. <br />PURCHASE ORDER WILL BE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD WHEN EXECUTED AND RECEIVED <br />LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION MEETING <br />The Board reviewed Memoranda of November 18, 1996, and <br />November 7, 1996: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: November 18, 1996 <br />FROM: Charles P.
