Ms. Aiello informed the <br />Board of the organization's partnerships and collaborations in the Treasure Coast <br />Area. Their month-long campaign to raise awareness included an "Outrun Hunger" <br />event and a campaign called "Light Up Orange", noting orange was the color of <br />hunger relief and represented encouragement and determination. <br />Read and Presented by Commissioner Loar <br />25-0882 Presentation from Indian River County Tourism <br />Recommended Action: Presentation to announce awards recently won at the Florida Governor's <br />Conference <br />Ben Earman, Vice President of Marketing with Visit Indian River County, and Krista <br />Hoyt, Tourism Communications Manager, appeared before the Board with mascot <br />Calvin to discuss the latest award-winning campaign for Indian River County tourism. <br />Mr. Earman informed the Board their work had earned first place for Specialty <br />Marketing and second place in Television Advertising from the Governor's <br />Conference on Tourism. <br />Slides were shown of the campaigns which featured Calvin's selfies showing <br />"Pawsome Trips" for pet owners, and a new television commercial with the tagline <br />"This is Indian River County". The presentation provided details on the deployment <br />across different media, successful engagement, and the quantified increase in visitors <br />to the County. Mr. Earman mentioned his and Ms. Hoyt's work earned five awards in <br />the two years they've been on the job. Calvin the golden retriever also received <br />special mention for the following he'd amassed.
