November 28, 1996 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, November 28, <br />1995, at 9:00 a.m. Present were Kenneth R. Macht, Chairman; Fran <br />B. Adams, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; and John W. Tippin. <br />Commissioner Carolyn K. Eggert was absent due to illness. Also <br />present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, County Attorney; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />Chairman Macht called the meeting to order, and Administrator <br />Chandler led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Chairman Macht announced that Commissioner Carolyn Eggert is <br />at Indian River Memorial Hospital with a blood clot.. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Chairman Macht requested the addition of Item 7-P, <br />Proclamation naming December, 1995 as Drunk and Drugged Driving <br />Prevention Month. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board by a 4-0 vote <br />(Commissioner Eggert being absent) unanimously added <br />the above item to the Agenda. <br />PROCLAMATION <br />Chairman Macht presented the following Proclamation <br />designating December 1, 1995 as World Aids Day in Indian River <br />County to Ellen Noble, Health and Safety Director of the Indian <br />River County Chapter of the American Red Cross, who introduced <br />Deborah Feltner, District 15 Coordinator, Gerald Pierone, M.D., and <br />Jean Kline, Director of Nursing, Indian River County Public Health <br />Unit: <br />NOVEMBER 28, 1995 <br />1 <br />bov 96 P,A., `673 <br />
