The attached Amendment No. 5 provides for eliminating culvert pipe and revising typical <br />sections, plan and profile sheets and cross-sections to include a 5' wide sidewalk on the <br />north side of 37th Street from US 1 to Indian River Boulevard. Compensation due the <br />engineer for revising 18 sheets of construction drawings is $3,492.00. This added to the - <br />current contract amount $37,445.00 results in a new contract amount of $40,937.00. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends approval of Amendment No. 5. Funding is from Account 309-215-541- <br />033.13. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved <br />Amendment No. 5 with Kimley-Horn, as set out in <br />staff's recommendation. <br />AMENDMENT NO. 5 IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />SPECIAL WATERWAY PROTECTS GRANT APPLICATION <br />REPLACEMENT OF DONALD MACDONALD BOAT RAMP <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 11/25/96: <br />TO: James Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH: James W. Thompson, P.E. �-„it;i- <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Special Waterway Projects Grant <br />Replacement of Donald MacDonald Boat Ramp <br />DATE: November 25, 1996 <br />Attached is a Special Waterway Projects Grant application and resolution authorizing <br />submission of the application to the Department of Environmental Protection for <br />replacement of the Donald MacDonald Boat Ramp. <br />The grant application in the amount of $80,000.00 provides for replacement of the existing <br />boat ramp north of the camping area. Indian River County is exempt from a match <br />requirement because it is one of twenty-three (23) eligible counties with the least number <br />of registered boaters. <br />Staff recommends that the Board approve the resolution authorizing the submission of the <br />grant application to the Department of Environmental Protection. <br />66 <br />DECEMBER 3, 1996 Boor 99 r-AfE10, 42 <br />
