SOUTH COUNTY R.O. PLANT WASTEWATER CONNECTIONS - <br />CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - TREASURE COAST CONTRACTING <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 11/19/96: <br />DATE: NOVEMBER 19, 1996 <br />TO: JAMES E. CAI <br />AND STAFFED CAPITAL PR GINEER <br />BY: DEPARTMENT M UT t�TYSERVICES <br />SUBJECT: SOUTH COUNTY REVERSE OSMOSIS PLANT WASTEWATER <br />CONNECTIONS (DOMESTIC/SKID CLEANING) CONTRACT <br />FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. US -96 -14 -CS <br />BACKGROUND <br />On September 17, 1996, the Board of County Commissioners approved <br />the above -referenced project. To implement the project, staff was <br />approved to purchase material directly from US Filter (previously <br />Davis Meter) and ABS Pumps. For construction, staff was to acquire <br />three quotes from local contractors and return to the Board with a <br />contract for execution. (See attached agenda item and minutes for <br />details.) <br />ANALYSIS <br />Staff acquired quotes as follows: <br />1) Treasure Coast Contracting, Inc. $ 8,800.00 <br />2) A and R Utilities $11,675.00 <br />3) Driveways, Inc. $12,800.00 <br />We have prepared a contract with Treasure Coast Contracting, Inc., <br />in the amount of $8,800.00. (Please see attached.) Funding for <br />this work will be from Account No. 472-000-169-314.00. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff -of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached contract as <br />presented and authorize the chairman to execute same. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously approved <br />the agreement with Treasure Coast Contracting, Inc., <br />as recommended by staff. <br />AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />68 <br />DECEMBER 3, 1996 BooK 99 PAc a44 <br />I <br />
