Award the bid to Southem Security Systems as the lowest, most <br />responsive and responsible bidder meeting specifications as set forth in <br />the Invitation to Bid. <br />2. Establish an Open End Contract with Southern Security Systems, with a <br />not to exceed amount of $ 10,000.000unng the period December 1, <br />1996 thru September 30, 1997. Last year's expenditures were $8,602.06. <br />3. Authorize the Purchasing Manager to renew this contract subject to <br />satisfactory performance, zero cost increase, vendor acceptance, and <br />the determination that renewal is in the best interest of the County. <br />In addition, staff requests Board approval of the attached Agreement as <br />to form, when all requirements are met and approved by the County <br />Attorney. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously awarded <br />the bid to Southern Security Systems, established an <br />open end contract with Southern Security Systems <br />with a not -to -exceed amount of $10,000 during the <br />period December 1, 1996 through September 30, 1997, <br />and authorized the Purchasing Manager to renew the <br />contract subject to satisfactory performance, zero <br />cost increase, vendor acceptance, and the <br />determination that renewal is in the best interest <br />of the County, as recommended in the Memorandum. <br />CONTRACT HAS BEEN PLACED ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />11 <br />December 10, 1996 BOOK <br />99 1`AGE,1074 <br />
