Sandridge Golf Club - Contract for Greens on "Dunes" Course - Ron <br />Gar] Architect <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of December 1, 1996: <br />DATE: December 1, 1996 <br />TO: Honorable Board of County Commissioners <br />THRU: Mr. James Chandle,�, County Administrative <br />SUBJECT: RETAINAGE OF VQWQARL GOLF COURSE ARCHITECT <br />FROM: Bob K¢ pti&tz, (Ubirector of Golf <br />Sandridge Golf Club is planning the reconstructions of the greens <br />on the "Dunes" course early summer of 1997. The budget for this <br />project is $360,000.00. <br />Staff is requesting the retainage of Ron Garl Golf Course Architect <br />who designed both golf courses for his services as defined in the <br />attached Contract Agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners authorize <br />the Chairman to execute the attached contract with Ron Garl Golf <br />Course Architect. <br />Commissioner Ginn requested an explanation as to why the work <br />had not been done originally, and Golf Club Director Bob Komarinetz <br />advised that the first time bids came in over budget. Staff went <br />out for bids again and again the bids came in over budget. Staff <br />went back to the architect who told them it was way over budget. <br />The funds that had been set aside were used for golf carts. <br />Commissioner Ginn appreciated being brought up to date. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously authorized <br />the.Chairman to execute the proposed agreement with <br />Ron Garl Golf Course Architect, as recommended in <br />the Memorandum. <br />AGREEMENT HAS BEEN PLACED ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />13 <br />December 10, 1996 Bov 99 PnF.1076 <br />
